The Three Stages of “Humanness” and how to survive them.
(Strap yourself in, it’s a long one 🤭)
“Right now, I can’t deal with that, I can’t deal with anything.”
Sat alone, drink in hand, you stare out the window.
You’ve had the worst news of your life. A death.
Things were going a little bit wobbly and this was the latest of calamities for you to deal with.
You sit and ponder life and the future without them.
It looks hopeless.
So you pour another drink.
Grief takes over and you allow it to happen.
The phases come in waves. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression… then acceptance.
You accept the savageness of life and feel it deeply.
This is one stage of humanness. Resilience.
Building your defences but allowing yourself to feel.
This is life. The ups and downs that take you to the highs and the lows.
Births, deaths, marriages, love, celebrations of life.
The full spectrum of humanness.
